About Sherry WooleyI’m a mother of two daughters, 17 and 20. I own a real estate marketing and sales business and I work part time with my husband in a business he owns that manufactures a fuel and environmental savings product for industry. I’m relatively active, love reading and traveling and have an English Cocker Spaniel named Eli, who gets me out walking either on my own or with friends every day. If you’ve got or had neck or upper back pain I can totally empathize with you. It can be annoying, painful, sometimes debilitating and not much fun, can’t it? It’s an area that I’ve had far too much experience with. My neck and upper back pain started with falls while I was skiing and playing other sports when I was younger. I suffered neck and upper back pain again when I was in more than one car accident (not my fault of course). And as I got older the nagging pain caused by the car accidents was either exacerbated or replaced by sore neck and upper back muscles from lifting, gardening and every day living. Looking for a solution to my neck pain I made the round of visits to medical doctors, physiotherapists, massage therapists, chiropractors and even a personal trainer. Sometimes I got a little relief and there were lots of suggestions – often totally conflicting with each other. It was incredibly frustrating because no-one seemed to have a clear picture of how to deal with neck and upper back pain. In fact I often found that the treatment and solutions provided made the pain worse, not better. Exercising, yoga, stretching, Pilates – I did it all, searching for a solution and again, found some things worked but others make my situation worse. I finally got fed up. I was sick and tired of listing to medical practitioners that didn’t have good answers and no real solutions. I didn’t want to waste time and money on any more useless appointments. And I wasn’t going to follow any more exercise advice that made me worse not better. I decided it was time to take matters into my own hands and find my own solutions that got rid of my neck and back pain and the all too many headaches that came with it. I sorted through the advice I’d been given. I looked at all of the stretches, the exercises and the related tools. I read and asked questions, researched, tried and tested. And I came up with my own program that actually reduced my neck and upper back pain and my headaches. Then it eliminated them all together. A simple, straight forward process that worked. Wow. What a difference it made to my life to not have that nagging pain casting a shadow over everything I did. I stopped taking Advil and Tylenol and got on with enjoying my life, friends and family more. I just wish that I’d made the effort to put my own program together earlier… but if I hadn’t had all of the experiences I had I probably never would have tried. So why did I put together this website and my E-book for neck and upper back pain sufferers, you might ask? And it would be a fair question. Well it started with listening to my friends talk about their sore necks and backs and the many appointments they were going to and not getting the kind of relief they expected. Some had just given up trying to eliminate their pain and had just decided to live with it. As I talked to them about what they were going through I realized that what I’d gone through and learned could be of benefit to them and perhaps to others who had similar problems – perhaps like you. I could provide a short cut by sharing what I’d learned and the program that I’d created to get rid of my own neck and upper back pain.
